SWiCH FAQ's

  • SWiCH, Circadia’s signature treatment, is a unique alternative to chemical peels that takes advantage of the skin’s natural repair mechanism without causing damage.
    This treatment is a multiple step process designed to increase your skin’s ATP (cellular energy) triggering healing without injury, by switching on the skin's repair mechanisms to lighten, firm and restore skin’s radiance. Series of 4-6 recommended for best results.  

  • ATP, also known as Adenosine Triphosphate, is an important molecule that plays a key role in the functioning of all the cells of the body. For our skin, ATP is essential for nearly every aspect of skin health. This is because ATP is needed to produce every cell, protein, lipid, and DNA that composes the skin. Without ATP, every skin cell would become non-functional and die. When we are young our skin is provided with a near perfect blood circulation that allows the skin cells to produce ATP. However, as we age the blood circulation to the skin decreases and the skin cells cannot produce sufficient levels of ATP. As a result, the proteins, lipids, and other essential parts of skin cells cannot be made as efficiently resulting in signs of aged skin such as wrinkles, fine lines, discoloration, and thinning of the skin. Because ATP can only be made by our skin cells, SWiCH switches on the skin's repair mechanisms, and supplies energy for the repair process to replenish promoting healthy cell function, improving overall health and appearance of your skin.

  • SWiCH is an anti-aging skin rejuvenation treatment. Anyone interested in maintaining youthful, healthy skin, repairing sun damage, improving fine lines and wrinkles, and improving the overall integrity of the skin is a good candidate for the SWiCH.

    • Activates the body’s natural repair and renewal system

    • Initiates increased cell-to-cell communication

    • Promotes healing and immune defense

    • Supports increased energy production in dermal and epidermal cells

    • Brightens skin and reduces pigmentation

    • Safe and gentle

    • Little downtime following treatment

    • It’s typical to experience some redness right after the application. Redness and flaking can occur for 1-3 days.

    • Avoid sun exposure, saunas, and sweating for 12 hours after treatment.

    • You can wear makeup after 24 hours, but for best results avoid makeup for 3 days. 


  • We recommend at least 3 ( 6 preferred) consecutive treatments once a month. We would like to see you in between treatments, every 2 weeks for an exfoliation treatment that is included in the cost of the SWiCH treatment. To maintain your results, we recommend 1 treatment every 3 months to maintain.

  • After each SwiCH treatment you will receive a home care kit that will last about 3 days along with a post-treatment card with home care instructions. Also included in the treatment cost is a two-week follow up appointment for an exfoliation treatment that will enhance your results.

  • Yes! You may pre-purchase a series of 6 SWiCH treatments + 6 exfoliation treatments for $1400. Packages include 3 complimentary full size products: Vitamin C, Cyto Comm, + Revitacyte.

  • For the next 3 days after your treatment, use the products you received as follows:  

    • Evening of treatment day: Apply Fraction V.

    • First morning after treatment: Do not wash face with cleanser; gently splash face with warm water, pat dry, and apply Fraction V.

    • Apply Fraction V again mid- day. 

    • In the evening, cleanse with vitamin veil cleanser and apply Fraction V.  


    We strongly recommend the following regimen (not included) to maximize your results during your months of treatments.

    • AM + PM: Vitamin Veil Cleanser followed by Vitamin C serum.

    • PM only: Add Cyto-Comm after the Vitamin C, followed by Revitalize-Cyte.


  • Most clients will see results after the 1st treatment. However, people see more dramatic changes after 2-3 treatments.

  • Allergy to aspirin, allergy to citric acid of any kind including oranges, lemons, grapefruit, etc., anyone who says they are highly allergic, pregnant or trying to become pregnant, Accu-tane within the past year, currently using antibiotics, using glycolic, Retin-A or Renova in the last 4 weeks, laser herpetic breakout, broken or inflamed skin, peel within 8 weeks.

  • Pyruvic Acid Pyruvic acid is a biomolecule that is used to make energy in the mitochondria of cells. Additionally, it protects against oxidative stress and accelerates wound healing. 

    Succinic Acid When combined with pyruvic acid, succinic acid increases the energy level of cells and promotes the formation of new collagen and new cells. Together succinic acid and pyruvic acid are active in wound healing and tissue restoration. 

    Algae Extract, Glycoproteins, Glutamic Acid, Valine, and Threonine Fraction V is a mitochondrial-energizing lotion that is formulated with Algae extract and purified cytosolic and mitochondrial yeast extracts to accelerate healing and cell renewal.   • At Bellas Skin Bar our Head Spa treatments are inspired by Japanese techniques with an emphasis on self-care + scalp love. Our heavenly treatments are good for the mind, body + soul.

  • Anyone with a scalp! Whether you have scalp-related challenges or you’re just looking for relaxing self-care time, these experiences are tailored to your specific needs.

  • You will have the option to change into a comfortable spa wrap before settling into our cozy treatment table that includes a heating mat and warm blanket to keep you comfortable throughout your treatment. Feel free to bring your favorite cozy socks if desired.
    If you prefer to stay fully clothed we asked that you not wear a hoodie. We do ask that you remove earrings and necklace prior to your treatment.

  • Yes, our studio is a private, intimate space.

  • Please note, our focus is on treating your scalp + soul rather than styling your hair. After your treatment, we’ll use a dryer for a quick scalp blast dry (upon request only) and provide detangling brushes if necessary. Our location within a salon suite offers access to several hairdressers, and we’d be delighted to recommend one if you wish to schedule a blowout after your head spa treatment.

  • We prefer untangled, uncleansed hair if possible. This will help give us a more accurate reading when we do the scalp analysis under the microscope.

  • No, we must have proper access to the scalp. We cannot perform services on customers with extensions, braids, or sew-ins as these obstruct access to the scalp and pores.

  • Our headspa services offer more than just an immersive sensory experience and total relaxation. They include thorough cleansing and gentle exfoliation of the scalp, effectively eliminating product buildup, excess oils, and dead skin cells. This promotes a healthier scalp environment, enhancing overall hair health.

  • For privacy reasons, video recording is not permitted unless arranged beforehand. We’re delighted to assist with capturing a few photos or videos upon request. Otherwise, please ensure your phone is on silent mode and set aside before beginning your treatment.

  • We suggest enjoying a Head Spa session once a month. The skin, including the scalp, undergoes a natural renewal cycle of about 28 days. Regular monthly appointments can effectively help maintain a healthy scalp.
